Previous Buddy Trips
Every year a challenge. Every time a celebration.
Earned Views. Every summit. Every ridge. Every vista. Nothing given. Everything earned through effort, endurance, and shared difficulty.
The Ritual. After the mountains, the miles, and the effort—there is recovery. Steak dinners. Golf rounds. Not indulgence for its own sake, but restoration earned through shared hardship.

Bend, Oregon & Crater Lake
Buddy Trip #9 took us to Bend, Oregon. We hiked Crater Lake National Park and jumped into the cold from Cleetwood Cove. We climbed through Smith Rock State Park, standing beneath Monkey Face. We floated the Deschutes. We saw LCD Soundsystem live at Hayden Homes Amphitheater. We toured the Last Blockbuster. We tasted wine in the Willamette Valley. We closed nights at Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge and Bend River Brewing Company. Sunriver Resort served as basecamp.
2024
Montana & Glacier
Buddy Trip #8 took us to Glacier National Park in Montana. We hiked the Highline Trail and stood near Jackson Glacier. We swam in Avalanche Lake and jumped into Avalanche Creek. We rode ATVs in Hungry Horse and spent a day boating Flathead Lake. We grabbed lunch in Whitefish and dinner in Kalispell. Our house in Somers overlooking the water served as basecamp.
2023
Yosemite, California
Buddy Trip #7 took us to Yosemite, California. We biked the valley loop to Yosemite Falls. We took in Tunnel View. We jumped into Mirror Lake. But the highlight was the climb to the top of Half Dome — the cables, the exposure, the long grind up and longer descent down. Our house in Oakhurst near Bass Lake served as basecamp.
2022
Zion & Utah
Buddy Trip #6 took us to Zion National Park. We hiked to the top of Angel’s Landing and walked the Narrows. We also made a quick stop in Las Vegas, hit the Wynn buffet, drove past Lake Mead, and stopped at Red Rocks. We were based out of Desert Color Resort in St. George and rode ATVs through the Utah desert to the Top of the World in Hurricane.
